The death has occurred of Áine Gallagher (Betagh), Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and Gortnor Abbey, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo – 11th March 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her devoted husband and loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at The Mayo Hospice, after a long illness borne with courage, determination and dignity.
The death has occurred of Nora Mary Finan (née Scanlon), Carrowkeel, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Sonnagh, Creggs, Co. Galway (Retired Nurse) - 11th March 2026, peacefully in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, after a long illness bravely borne.
The death has occurred of Francis (Frankie) Mulvhill, Tarmon Manor, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, Co. Roscommon (formerly of RTÉ) - 7th March 2026, peacefully after a brief illness.
The death has occurred Haulie Keane, Currahard, Lisacul, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon - 4th February 2026, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the wonderful staff of Aras Mathair Phoil, Castlerea.
The death has occurred of Harry Connolly, Church Hill, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, 18th January 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff at the Roscommon Hospice. Predeceased by his beloved wife Celia.

On the 18th of October 2025, Terry Byrne, Blarney, Co. Cork (ex. ESB) passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family in the care of Marymount Hospice.
