The death has occurred of Una Carroll, née McDermott, Main Street, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and Lurgan Park, Galway City, Co. Galway – 29th August 2023, peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar and previously in the loving care of the staff of Aras Mathair Phoil, Castlerea. Predeceased by her husband Christy and infant grandson Colin. Una will be sadly missed by her children Joseph, Dermot, Theresa, Christopher, Eileen, Siobhan and Alan, brother Sean, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Ann, Martina and Aisling, sons-in-law Mike, Jimmy and Robert, Dermot’s partner Lyndsey, sister-in-law Lily, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gaynor’s Funeral Home, Castlerea from 5pm – 7pm on Thursday evening with removal afterwards to St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea. Mass of the Resurrection at 11am on Friday followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Castlerea.
Una’s funeral Mass will be live-streamed on Gaynor Funeral Directors Facebook page.
