MCDERMOT, Deirdre, née Dowling, (Knockroe, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon) - May 24th, 2021 (peacefully), in the loving care of the staff at Highfield Healthcare, Swords Road, Whitehall, Dublin. Predeceased by her husband Eamon and daughter Marie. Very deeply regretted by her son Edward, daughter-in-law Breda, son-in-law Kieran and his partner Máire, her dearly loved grandchildren Caroline and her husband Werner, Deirdre and her husband Marcos, Katie, Conor and his wife Emily, Ciara and her partner Joe and Niall and his partner Pedro, her great-grandchildren Ruby, Juliet, Samuel, Henry, Rosa and Donagh, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Due to Government and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings and to protect the most vulnerable in our community a private family funeral will take place. Deirdre will be reposing at Gaynor’s Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6pm - 7.30pm for close friends and family. Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea for Mass of the Resurrection at 12.30pm on Thursday followed by burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
